A political party is an organized group of individuals who share similar political beliefs and work together to influence government policy and gain political power by presenting candidates for elections. These parties play a crucial role in the democratic process by facilitating voter choice and representing diverse interests within society. In contrast, pressure groups, vigilante groups, and co-operative societies serve different functions and do not primarily focus on electoral participation.
